Designed to offer a bigger L2 Cache and advanced multi-processors capability, the Pentium II Xeon line was based on the standard Deschutes Pentium II Core featuring a 0.25 µm process. This engineereing sample is clocked at 350 MHz, come with a L2 Cache of 1MB and was produced in the first week of 1998. This frequency (350 MHz) was never introduced, Intel launched the PII Xeon line in June 1998 at clock speed of 400 Mhz with 512 Kb of L2 cache.
