The Cyrix MII is the 6x86 chip with MMX support. Previously, the entire chip line was referred to as "M2", but "6x86MX" took hold when the chip was released. Cyrix changed names again to the "MII" presumably so that they would be compared to Intel's Pentium II chips. IBM released some chips and continued to call them 6x86MX instead of going with the MII name. This sample is an engineering sample of the MII-300, clocked at 3*75 MHz (225 MHz). It was produced some weeks before the official launch
