Here is an early engineering-sample of the Intel 486 DX4 100 CPU, featuring an internal clock ratio multiplier set at 3x. The CPU was launched at 100 MHz (3*33.3 MHz) and at 75 MHz (3*25 MHz) some months later. The first i486 DX4 was launched in March 1994, some times after the first Pentium. The DX4 features 16 KB of L1 cache, twice the size of the DX2, and is based on the 0.6 micron process.
